ABOUT ROOTLINKD

About rootlinkd: built to link my own sites first.

About rootlinkd in one line: it's an automatic internal linking plugin for WordPress, built by a site owner who got tired of adding the same links by hand.

WHY IT EXISTS

The same links, added by hand, over and over

I'm Alex, and I run several WordPress content sites. Every new article meant going back through older posts to add the same internal links again: the same product pages, the same guides, the same phrases pointing to the same places.

Most SEO plugins treat internal linking as a side feature. I wanted a tool that did one job well: take a keyword, point it at the right page, and apply that rule everywhere it fits, without editing posts one at a time.

So I built rootlinkd. I use it on my own sites, including vyscocity.com, and every feature on the internal linking plugin features page started as something I needed there.

HOW I BUILD IT

A few rules rootlinkd follows

One job, done well

rootlinkd is a dedicated linking plugin, not a feature inside a larger SEO suite. Keyword variations, placement control and link types all serve that one job.

Your content stays yours

Linking runs entirely on your own site. Your posts are never rewritten, and your content isn't sent anywhere to be linked. Rules live in your WordPress database and stay there even if the plugin is removed.

Free that's actually useful

The Free edition has unlimited internal-link rules. Paid plans add control and new capabilities instead of taking away basics.

Straight pricing

Four plans, annual billing, no fake discounts or countdown timers. See the internal linking plugin pricing page for exactly what each plan includes.

WHAT'S NEXT

Where rootlinkd is heading

The Free edition is coming soon to WordPress.org. After that, development focuses on tools that help manage links across a whole site, such as spotting broken links and pages that receive no internal links. These are planned, not released, and they'll appear on the features page only once they ship.
