What counts as a site
Each WordPress site where you activate your licence. Pro covers 1 site, Business 5 and Developer unlimited. Local development sites on localhost don't use up an activation.
Annual billing
Paid plans are billed once a year in USD. There's no monthly or lifetime option and no free trial. Free is how you try rootlinkd before you buy.
Your rules carry over
Free and paid plans share the same saved rules. Upgrading never asks you to re-enter anything, and moving between paid plans keeps everything too.
If a licence ends
Your rules stay saved. rootlinkd returns to Free behaviour: internal rules keep working, while external, affiliate and other paid features stop until a licence is active again.

Free vs Pro comes down to control. Free links every exact match it finds. Pro adds link limits, skips headings and opening paragraphs, and adds external links, one keyword variation per rule and five link styles.
Can I upgrade later without losing my rules?
Yes. Every plan uses the same saved rules, so upgrading keeps everything you have already set up.
Is there monthly or lifetime pricing, or a free trial?
No. Paid plans are billed annually, and there is no free trial. The Free edition lets you try automatic internal linking first.
